Expatriate Position - SE Asia - Senior Geophysicist

My client is an exploration and production company that is dedicated to providing a sustainable petroleum supply to the countries they operate in. This organisation operates on many projects around the world and in order to expand their presence they are actively seeking a Senior Geophysicist.

Key responsibilities;

[*] You will need to identify, assess and assure quality all available data and recommend further processing and acquisition as appropriate.
[*] Interpret and integrate geophysical data to aid play mapping for sources rock distribution and reservoir characterization /distribution to define play uncertainty, risk and volume.
[*] You should be able to define subsurface well targets with justification and objectives.
[*] To provide quantify uncertainties in the volumetric calculation of reserves/resources as well estimation of risk.
[*] The ability to develop play and prospect with geologist.
[*] Communicate and sell ideas to management.
[*] Contribute to knowledge management and best practices and mentor junior staff.

The requirements:

[*] A relevant degree in Geosciences is preferable and a good technical knowledge of geophysical principles and quantitative seismic interpretation techniques.
[*] A proven background in 2D and 3D seismic interpretation, depth conversion, mapping and prospect generation.
[*] You will have strong interpersonal with effective oral and written communication.
[*] You should be a result oriented and have the ability to manage and deliver results to set time scales.
[*] An energetic and focussed individual who has the ability to develop and mentor local junior staff.
