Our client is an Aberdeen based service company who specialise in providing Survey and Positioning services to the Oil and Gas industry.The Survey and Positioning department supports a wide range of world-wide offshore construction related surveying, positioning and inspection activities including pipe-lay, pipeline construction, trenching, rock-dumping, subsea metrology, pipeline inspection, bundle tows and installations, high-resolution geophysical site and route surveys, dive support, barge positioning and structure installation. RESPONSIBILITIES Management and coordination of all Company Survey and Positioning functions in support of global operations. To fully contribute to the development of company integrated Life of Field Services. Promotion and support of Health and Safety policies for Survey personnel at the work site. Responsibility, management and control of the Survey Department annual budget. Responsible for staff recruitment (onshore and offshore), training, competency, career development and performance management. Delivery of comprehensive support to all Company operational, tendering and marketing departments, projects and Company global regional centres. Responsible for ensuring that a consistently high quality of service and deliverable is produced for both internal and external clients. Ensures that the Company pursues and operates the most up to date, effective and efficient survey and positioning techniques, methodologies, equipment and software. Ensures representation of the Company's interests and maintains its profile within the survey industry, including appropriate professional bodies. REQUIREMENTS General Education: Relevant Survey related degree Professional accreditation to RICS or ICES preferred Significant and relevant experience in the offshore survey construction industry High level technical knowledge of current standards and methods in Survey and Positioning
