Company Profile
•To learn and understudy with a Senior Sales Engineer in developing and maintaining customer relationships with all new and existing customer accounts primarily in Perth but not limited to areas within the Australasia region.
•To work in partnership with other business units within Smith in such a manner that furthers the best interests of Smith Bits and its customers.
•To build and maintain close working relationships with drilling personnel within the assigned customer base. In order to produce well programs specific to Smith Bits products, the incumbent is required to present such recommendations to the relevant drilling personnel to deliver optimum performance to customer and increase revenue for Smith Bits.
•To develop one’s technical knowledge and understanding of Smith’s products and to support Senior Sales Engineers with regards to but not limited to dynamic pricing, technical input to proposals, parameter recommendations and utilisation of new technologies.
•To communicate drilling activity and product requirements for specific accounts with the Pathfinder Drilling Manager or other representatives.
•Demonstrate a high standard of data manipulation skills including but not limited to parameter analysis, drilling performance and vibration analysis.
•Liaise closely with Field Engineering unit with respect to ongoing daily activities and to highlight technical issues which are crucial to performance of Smith’s products.
•Demonstrate a high standard of presentation skills both internally when required and externally to customers.

Required Skills/Experience:
•Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply but applicants with minimum 2 years drilling and offshore experience will also be considered.
•Strong technical knowledge of drilling technology and preferably familiar with Smith's products and services and their application to customer requirements.
•Excellent communication and selling skills. Good presentation skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers.
•Able to travel on short notice or when required.
•Willingness to learn and have a positive attitude towards continuous learning and desire to improve oneself.
