Our Client is looking for a Lead Offshore Pipeline Engineer. This is a contract position, based in London.Responsibilities Approve all technical decisions made by engineers allocated to his/her team for a particular project Ensure that engineering is carried out in accordance with K-WAC Project procedures and in accordance with the contractual requirements of the project, including budgets and schedules. Identify and manage project design changes where appropriate Provide technical leadership and expertise in Pipeline Engineering and act as company specialist across projects. Ensure Project delivers safe, maintainable, operable, best value plants in a timely manner. Act as Field Engineer during the final stages of Construction, Commissioning and Pipeline Reinstatement. Approving all technical decisions of engineers under the Principals supervision. Ensure that engineering is carried out in accordance with company procedures and contractual requirements to the agreed budget and schedule and in compliance with the EHS requirements. Identifying and managing project design changes where relevant. Continuously monitor the performance of their team in terms of work hours, and costs against the project’s programme and budget Presenting regular project progress and other reporting to the team and the Project Manager, including any problems, technical or otherwise, particularly with regard to costs, work hours, programme milestones and resources. Qualifications and experience required: Engineering Degree. Chartered status. Extensive experience in contracting or related industries. In depth experience of offshore oil and gas pipeline design. Experience of the latest Proven leadership skills. The ability to effectively manage projects, including budgetary and schedule control. The ability to effectively manage project teams. Excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Flexible and innovative in approach. Self motivated. Good analytical and problem solving skills. Well organised with the ability to deal with shifting priorities. Ability to deputise for the Department Manager. Sign techniques in relation to flow assurance, GIS/Mapping, pipeline mechanical design including limit state/strain based design. Experience working in a support/supervisory role and ready to take on a more significant position at Lead Engineer level. Desirable: H2S experience.
