The Reservoir Engineering Practice at Petroleum People has been sourced to secure the services of an experienced Principle Production Technologist for a market-leading independent oil and gas company. This business operates at the forefront of technological innovation.

As a talented senior professional you will provide high level technical expertise in the area of Production Technology. The role supports the Petroleum Engineering Departments. Key responsibilities are as follows for developing and maintaining the Asset Field Development Plans Provide high level technical expertise in the area of Petroleum Technology to the Asset Managers. The role supports the Petroleum Engineering Departments key performance objectives of maximising reserves bookings, optimising field development and production. Develop the systems for the monitoring and modelling of wellbore and network performance and pressures. Analysing and teaching others to analyse this information to enhance production and contribute to field wide models. Support the well and field development planning by recommending well and reservoir surveillance plans, well placement, stimulations, completions and operating conditions. Evaluation of ongoing hydraulic fracturing, horizontal in-seam, and multi-lateral pilot projects; providing comparative technical and economic evaluations between development options. Oversigh of well and reservoir management plan through support of day to day management procedures, creation of well books, identification of production optimization opportunities, and coaching of junior staff in the use of monitoring techniques (including OFM software). Refinement and optimization of base case CBM well design through evaluation of alternative pump designs, drilling fluids, and cementing technologies. Support the Asset continual improvement initiatives by studying and recommending prospective target areas, identifying new technologies and implementing programs to enhance reservoir understanding.

The incumbent is likely to have enjoyed more than 10 years post-graduate experience with world renowned operating companies. A classic Production Technologist background (CSM experience would be an advantage).
