Our client engages at all phases of the life of subsea systems, from design through construction to operations, to decommissioning, covering:Subsea pipelines, landfalls and jetties Risers, flexibles, and umbilicals Subsea trees, controls, remote intervention and manifolds Subsea structures Floating production Technical work The candidate will need to be capable of the following engineering work: Establishing base data and methodology Engineering calculations and analysis Writing reports and specifications, developing drawings Consulting, problem solving, risk assessments, presentations Inputting to and review of Jee's technical course presentations Management of own time, working independently and customer-facing Specialisations The candidate will additionally offer one or more elements of specialisation Visual basic/programming experience Analysis using software such as MathCAD, ABAQUS, Olga, or Orcaflex Familiarity with DNV design codes Qualifications and experience Essential Between 1 and 3+ years' experience in subsea engineering 2.1 M Eng degree or higher in engineering, aeronautics, naval architecture, maths, or physics Desirable Higher or first class degree Experience in subsea pipelines design, construction, integrity management and decommissioning Associate engineer of an engineering institution Skills in related areas such as risers, subsea systems, structure, or umbilicals and controls would be an advantage. This is a technical, hands-on roles with an element of project engineering/management. Our client have a stream of challenging projects ranging from product development and deepwater analysis to trunk line design. The post will be in London (Tonbridge) or Aberdeen (Westhill) to suit the candidate.
