Serve as focal point for resolution of complex issues and non-routine problems & applications related to On shore analytical, fire & gas and fiscal metering systems, root cause analysis and support for ensuring all maintenance programs for On-Line Analytical, Fire & Gas, Fiscal Metering, at RasGas on-shore facilities starting from inlet to sales point are safely executed and regulatory & technical standards expectations satisfied and industry best practices followed. Knowledge Skills and Experience: Engineering Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Instrumentation from a recognised educational institution with excellent academic records. About 10 years of maintenance/engineering experience On-line Analysers and Fiscal & Allocation Metering Systems associated with large oil and gas or petrochemical industry, with 5 or more years experience as maintenance engineer. In depth experience with oil and gas industry on-line analyser, metering system, tank gauging and fire &gas maintenance practices and conversant with maintenance requirements for these systems. Shall have had experience with gas, liquid (LNG and Condensate in particular) on-line analyser, fiscal metering and tank gauging systems with specific experience on orifice, ultrasonic, coriolis & turbine type meters. Specialization in fiscal and allocation metering techniques and working knowledge of appropriate international standards such as ISO, API MPMS, AND AGA. Shall also be well versed in meter validation techniques, such as proving and master methods and have a sound knowledge of Gas Chromatographs and automatic sampling systems. Shall be knowledgeable with the relevant metering standards, in particular ISO, MPMS and AGA. Competent with the application of mismeasurement procedures, identifying and reducing metering uncertainties. Should have independently handled jobs in on-line analytical and metering systems associated with large oil&gas or petrochemical industries. Should very convesant with documentation such as P&ID's, data sheets, Functional Logic Diagrams, ESD schematics, Cause & Effect charts, Network Diagrams. Specific maintenance experience with Omni, Imtech & Daniel flow computers, Enraf Tank Gauging and Yokogawa & Siemens Gas Chromatographs & associated AMADAS is required. Exposure to Foxboro I/A DCS and PC based HMI systems would be advantageous. Knowledge of installation, calibration, commissioning and maintenance & tersting procedures of Instrumentation,Metering and On-line Analysers associated with LNG or Petrochemical plant is essential. Knowledge of various field measurement & control instruments and their maintenance practices and electrical area classification is strongly preferable. Good knowledge of instrumentation related international & industry standards, grass root project specifications would be advantageous. Exposure to latest trends such as Industrial Ethernet, Field Bus, system integration techniques such as modbus & OPC, serial interfaces such as HART and Asset Management concepts would be advantageous. Extensive experience and exposure to hands-on work relating to validating and calibrating custody transfer metering skids, on-line Gas Chromatographs and highly complex microprocessor based analysers. Familiarity with and participation experience in technical audits would be advantageous. Computer literate with knowledge of SAP and commonly used Microsoft business software packages. Familiar with a permit to work system and lock-out procedures.

Experience with continuous process plant Distributed Control, PLC based control and their network and integration techniques is advantageous. Should have experience with on-line analyser sample extraction, conditioning & transportation, micro-processor based complex on-line process analysers such as gas chromatographs, continuous emission monitoring systems, good understanding of analyser networking & analyser data acquisition systems Should have experience with custody transfer, fiscal and allocation measurement methods and standard practices for hydrocarbon gases and liquids and understanding of various units of measurements & their conversions and uncertainty concepts. Should also have very good knowledge of ISA and instrumentation related international standards of IEC, NFPA, NEC, NEMA etc and industry best practices.
