Our client is currently having the following vacancy:Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Location:
Vung Tao, Vietnam with occasional travel to Ho Chi Minh City and abroad. Duration:
2 years project or till project handover

6 months on / 6 days off
6 days per week / up to 10hrs per day Project Type:
Major development offshore Vietnam, including processing and wellhead platforms, floating storage and offloading and pipelines. Accountabilities:
Prepare Mechanical Work instructions.
Supporting Engineering Manager in preparing engineering procedures and Engineering Execution Plan.
Incharge for teaching/training/instructing/ knowledge transferring of engineering work for mechanical engineers in Company/Project.
Establish database and library for Oil & Gas Mechanical Engineering/Designing.
Supports Engineering Manager in setting up a plane for development of engineering capabilities in Company in 10 years look ahead.
Set up the training plan to develop the mechanical engineering skill/experience for Company's engineers to make sure that they can perform the Conceptual Design/FEED/Detail Design.
To manage and control all mechanical engineering works and assigned personnel to emsure that the personnel perform proper works, the works complete within budget and schedule for Company's actual projects.
Perform engineering conceptual, FEED and detail design and calculations. Initiates and reviews material lists, data sheets, specifications and design reports.
Initiate and review enquiry, evaluates quotations and prepares bid technical tabulations and recommendation.
Provides technical assistance on site during fabrication, hook-up, commissioning and start-up as required.
Function as lead mechanical engineer when nominated by engineering department manager/section head.
Technically assist Procurement Department in project bidding, procuring equipment, materials and services relating Mechanical discipline.
Establish contact with client and client's third parties to ensure their requirements are understood and communicated to all.
Perform other related mechanical engineering works as required Engineering Department Manager. Remuneration:
Please quote minimum expected day rate in USD.
Leave provided but unpaid due to day rate.
Accommodation, Transport provided. (Lumpsum of USD1500 to USD2000 per month)
Medical and Accidental Insurance covered.
Economy Class tickets provided for Mobilisation and Demobilisation.
All Personal Income Tax in Vietnam will be taken care of.
