Drilling Engineer – NetherlandsA major European oil & gas operator are looking to identify a drilling engineer to fulfil an office based drilling engineering role within the wells department in Netherlands. Responsibilities The detailed planning & design of wells to be drilled from a floating rig in the Dutch North Sea. This includes tubular & wellhead design, casing design, ensuring the accuracy of directional pans, mud plans, pore pressures and fracture gradients. Duties also include assistance with tendering and procurement of drilling services and materials, AFE planning and budget control. This engineer will be responsible for capturing lessons learnt and best practices, introducing new technologies into the department and ensuring they are appropriately integrated into the drilling department. The incumbent will be responsible for offering onshore technical support one the operations enter execution stage and ensuring the operations adhere to the highest HSE standards. Experience The successful candidate: Will be a degree qualified engineer (or equivalent) with experience of working in a drilling engineering capacity for an oil operator. Experience of working within the North Sea. Dutch language skills would be highly advantageous. Have experience of working to the highest HSE standards. Have excellent communication skills, capable of maintaining effective communication across a broad spectrum of nationalities.
