Our client is an Aberdeen based Operator who are currently looking for an Engineering Co-ordinator to act as the functional authority on Facilities Engineering Projects, which will be mainly topside brownfield projects but may also encompass new field development.

DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the General manager, the Engineering Co-ordinator will be responsible for providing functional engineering support to a North sea asset. This will involve the management/co-ordinaton of all aspects of engineering projects on behalf of the Asset General Manager through permanent and/or contract resources as appropriate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our client is expected to develop and submit field development and redevelopment plans for a number of fields during the same time period that will include a significant engineering element. The incumbent will develop and ensure provision of the standards, personnel, procurement and engineering support contracts required to facilitate these activities

To be the Functional Authority on Facilities Engineering Projects – these will be mainly topside-brownfield projects but may also encompass new field development.
Provide engineering expertise to Asset General Manager and assist in the development of optimal field development and operational philosophies.
Project manage the delivery, on schedule and on budget, of managed facilities and/or capital projects.
Generate Order of Magnitude (OOM) cost estimates for internal project screening and ranking purposes.
Oversee and manage engineering contracts, subcontracts and suppliers directly or indirectly through permanent staff and/or contract resources.
Act as custodian and manager of the assigned assets' facilities engineering budget and the engineering services provider.

REQUIREMENTS

Educated to BSc, preferably in an Engineering discipline
Qualified Engineer status preferred
Member of relevant professional institution
Significant recent, related oil & gas industry experience i.e. relevant experience in a technical role as a practising Senior Facilities Engineer or Project Engineer/Manager
Emergency response and crisis management experience.
