Burns Carlton's Oil and Gas practice have been tasked with sourcing a senior drilling engineer for this progressive oil company's upcoming Iraqi drilling campaign. As the successful candidate you will be working in an onshore environment in a much publicised oil basin of Iraq. You will be responsible for the planning and operational follow up of the campaign and have a close liaison with the rig crews to quickly solve any unforseen issues. Ideal candidates will have prior experience working in either Iraq or the close vicinity i.e Kuwait or Iran. Candidates should be able to work unsupervised and be capable of liaising with national personel to ensure in country operations run smoothly. Candidates will have a relevant engineering degree and possibly a masters from a recognised engineering specialist university.
