Lead Reservoir Engineer – Operator – Aberdeen

Globally renowned oil and gas operator urgently seeks a highly skilled Lead Reservoir Engineer to be responsible for the reservoir management of the company's entire North Sea production and development asset portfolio.

As the chosen candidate you will need to be a stand alone individual who is able to make key decisions. The successful candidate will also be a team player, who has the gravitas and personality to interact successfully both within the organisation and externally with relevant parties.

The role:

• You will undertake reservoir studies utilising classical reservoir engineering techniques, Eclipse simulation software, material balance and well test interpretation software and a variety of other specialist tools in order to produce credible, optimised, value-adding reservoir management recommendations.

• You will have ability to work collaboratively with other specialists within the fields of Geology, Geophysics and Petroleum Engineering to produce a synergistic multi-discipline team approach to reservoir development and production optimisation.

• To work collaboratively with Production/Operations colleagues; providing high quality reservoir engineering input to enable the optimisation of completions, sub-sea equipment, flow assurance and related development operations.

• To manage multiple third party reservoir engineering consultants; to focus and integrate their studies and incorporate the results into an overall integrated reservoir understanding

The requirements:

• Degree qualified in a scientific or engineering or Masters Degree in Petroleum engineering.

• Proven experience using Eclipse and Welltest analysis software.

• You should have a good understanding of reservoir characterisation and 3D modelling techniques, basic understanding of seismic interpretation.

• Track record of proactively proposing and implementing successful reservoir management recommendations.
