A great opportunity for a Payroll Specialist for 3-6 months, starting immediately. RESPONSIBILITIES: Under direct supervision, handles the accurate and timely processing, payment and distribution of pay to employees. Maintains employee pay related data in the system while ensuring data integrity. Responds to employee inquiries and problem resolution through call centre rotation. Collects and processes all pay related data for a given pay period. Ensures the accuracy of the employee's pay results by auditing and correcting any errors detected during the payroll process. Prints, seals, and distributes payroll checks and direct deposit notices. Handles the direct deposit and positive pay file transmissions to the bank. Strives for continuous improvement to the payroll processes. Handle special projects, as assigned. SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS Good customer service skills. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of financial processes involving payroll: legal regulations, tax reporting regulations, interactions with general ledger and reconciliation processes. Knowledge of various pay policies & procedures; payroll accounting principles and company accounting practices. Experience with automated and integrated payroll and benefits processing systems. Benefit in Kind experience would be an advantage. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and payroll systems applications.Desirable · SAP computerised systems · Infinium computerised systems · Experience of working within a payroll shared service. · Experience and understanding of finance processes. · Experience of offshore working.
