Responsibilities:
Responsible for construction welding activities related to welding at the construction site during the execution of a major international nuclear power plant project for the Site Project Management Office (SPMO). Implements welding qualifications and inspection programs related to welding. Monitors construction welding activities to ensure quality objectives are met. Develops welder qualification processes. Experience in the setup of and performance of complex weld joints on nuclear piping systems, equipment and modules. Monitors site schedule to identify trends and takes proactive measures to maintain progress for the specific area. Ensure site QA/QC Program is being followed by the construction contractors. Ensures project Safety Standards are being met. Implements programs to oversee and monitor progress of the construction contractor. Provide routine reporting on construction contractor activities, including immediate reporting of urgent issues. Foster harmonious working relationships and professionalism between all site engaged activities and provides guidance and mentoring to lesser experienced subordinates. Provides for audits and surveillance to ensure milestones are met for contract performance. Has the ability to resolves complex problems. Assist the project between internal and external organizations.

Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:
Provides technical guidance to employees
Has in-depth expertise in own discipline and knowledge of the related disciplines
BS/BA degree or equivalent and extensive experience in responsible assignments in construction welding and NDE, including testing and/or inspection of manufacturing, construction, and installation of welding/NDE activities at nuclear power plants. Must have a demonstrated and proven track record in self performed construction nuclear work. Prior supervisory experience in field and shop, manual and automatic welding operation at nuclear power plants is required.
