My client is a one of the largest semi-government shipping organisation in the world. They are currently expanding their fleet (mainly LNG vessels). They are looking for a Technical Superintendent to provide expertise and supports technical ship operations as well as monitors the operational standards and class requirements with regards to safety, reliability and efficient performance of the vessels to ensure that tasks are accomplished in a timely and economical manner.

Responsibilities:

„X Provides technical advice on all aspects of the maintenance and repairs of the gas vessels and technical matters relating to the safe and economic transportation of gas.

„X Conducts statistical analysis on the frequency of repairs, the speed of the repairs, fuel and LNG consumption to ensure that the vessel operations are in accordance with the standards. Maintains a database giving technical historical records regarding equipment failures, fuel consumption and spare parts consumption. Attends the scheduled repairs to safeguard and ensure they are undertaken to the required standard. Attends the post docking review meetings price negotiations

„X Undertake technical and safety audits and Vetting of vessels as required.

„X Reviews the dry docking list before and following each dry-dock period. Monitors the accuracy of repair specifications during the scheduled repair periods.

„X Monitors the vessels performance and condition for best attainable industry Standards through regular ship visit.

„X Liaise with the construction supervision teams to monitors the Shipbuilding progress and check that the new vessels meet the specifications also ensures familiarity with vessels layout equipment and machinery & follow up on guarantee claims matters are applicable at the post delivery phase.

„X Responsible for the support of Company HSE policies and programs, local documentation, Management System Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents.
