Subsurface Senior Production Chemist - Oman

My client is a semi-government oil and gas company. They are currently working on a variety of projects in petrochemicals especially high viscosity fluids. They are looking for professionals to support production project and the field with applied production chemistry support, based on design, project FEED, field feedback on laboratory testing results, field studies, souring effects and general production chemistry operational and HSE aspects . They are currently looking for a Subsurface Senior Production Chemist to join their Oman office.

The main scope of work is to provide cost-effective technical support to the asset team to help deliver quality wells and to maintain well productivity and extend the life of the well- stock according to agreed targets in a safe, environmentally friendly manner. Moreover, the professional will keep abreast of new developments in their field and deploy as necessary within the operations.

The project involves around 4000 wells.

Responsibilities:
- deployment of effective subsurface chemistry activities in-line with agreed processes
- managing well fluids activities simultaneously in 8 rigs
- maintain relevant interfaces across the organisation to ensure effective chemistry input into asset and corporate pans and activities
- management of contracts to support chemistry activities
- chemistry input supporting well delivery and productivity within a budget and technical objectives, maintenance of well productivity, water shut off activities
- Capex and Opex expenditure within approved targets
- Technical expertise and competence capacity development
- Deliver the relevant portfolio of annual business plan
- Identification and implementation of business improvement opportunities
- Ensuring continuous chemistry in the heavy, diverse workload environment

Required Skills/Experience: Requirements:
- Degree qualified
- Vast experience in both technical and supervisory positions with significant exposure to drilling fluids, cementing, simulation activities and associated tools and equipment
- In depth knowledge of process chemistry and laboratory management to fully satisfy all job requirements
- exceptional knowledge of production and drilling operations, exploration and other PE disciplines
- able to manage several diverse work programmes simultaneously
- industry awareness
