A leading global player in the EPC engineering market is looking for an instrumentation engineering section manager to support its ongoing and future projects. These projects would require knowledge of various types of Control and Logic Systems like DCS, PLC etc. for the project to be completed successfully. The company delivers Engineering, Procurement and Construction services to the oil and gas, pipeline, refinery and petrochemical sectors. Responsibilities: „X In charge of all functions performed by the instrumentation and control group „X Assemble and supervise an Instrumentation Engineering/Design group capable of executing a project „X Design, Detailed Engineering Preparation of Specifications, Evaluation and Installation of addressable and conventional Fire & Gas systems, QMR/TMR PLC systems. „X Create technical design instructions and discipline work practices „X Ensure a safe, efficient plant design developed to comply with agreed project standards „X Develop man-hour estimates, review with engineering management for approval and submission to the Project „X Initiate the development of and approve project specific work methods, standards and specifications to ensure quality control is maintained „X Provide technical guidance to engineers

Required Skills/Experience:
|
Experience: „X Instrumentation / electrical engineering degree with experience in a lead position in the Oil & Gas industry „X Experience in conceptual design studies, feed and detailed engineering of upstream Oil & Gas processes (detailed specifications of field instruments, final control elements and various types of control and logic systems like DCS, PLC etc.) „X Display an ability in the preparation of operating manuals for various processes in terms of risk management, able to balance technical / HSE requirements against implementation costs „X Display an ability to handle proposal works and come up with man-hours estimation in addition to raising technical queries to accurately define the project scope of work
