JOB TITLE: MANAGER, MAINTENANCE REPORTS TO: Manager COMT SUPERVISES: Chief Engineer Maintenance, Project Maintenance Managers, plus assigned maintenance personnel RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES 1. Technical Developments1.1 Keep informed on technical developments related to maintenance management to include all technical and quality matters relating to modern process plant maintenance, inspection and materials management practice and computerised maintenance management systems. 1.2 Maintain current knowledge of compliance issues relating to Safety and Environmental management with respect to maintenance of process plants. 1.3 Keep informed of refinery and other petrochemical facility economics, current best practices, and key performance indicators. 2. Departmental2.1 Direct the activities of the Maintenance Group and oversee the accuracy, quality, and performance of proposals, contracts, audits, and any other activities assigned to the Group. 2.2 Responsible for ensuring that FW management maintenance philosophies and strategies are properly developed to ensure that maintenance related projects are executed with effective use of available technology to achieve a safe and environmentally compliant conclusion. 2.3 Develop and maintain an audit process for assessing maintenance performance with respect to operational safety, environmental impact, productivity, and cost effectiveness. 2.4 Continually monitor requirements based upon current and future defined projects to ensure adequate resources are provided. Communicate current and future resource needs, and provide work schedules indicating current and future resource requirements to the Manager COMT to assist in for overall Departmental Planning. 2.5 Carry out interviews with prospective employees and recommend employment to Manager COMT. 2.6 Carry out annual appraisals of group personnel, and discuss with Manager COMT and recommend salary adjustments. 2.7 Plan for the development and training of technical personnel and make recommendations to the Manager COMT. 2.8 Ensure that the requirements of secrecy agreements are strictly adhered to within the Group and the defined work areas. 2.9 Ensure that the Technical Library containing Maintenance Manuals, Reports, and Site information is kept fully up to date and readily accessible. 2.10Direct activities for developing and maintaining Department Procedures, Work Practices, Guidelines, and Standards to ensure full compliance with company HSEQ standards. 2.11Ensure the content and objectives of the Foster Wheeler HSEQ policy is implemented and understood by Foster Wheeler HO Staff and at site. .
Requirements 3. Proposals and Contracts3.1 Review pre-qualification and proposal request and define Asset Management requirements. Work with the respective Proposal Manager in defining the economic viability of the request. If viable, obtain clarification on any issues, and prepare and submit the necessary support documents. 3.2 Liase with the Client as required, to clarify issues relative to the contract, to ensure that the Client’s requirements are understood
