Equipment Engineering Manager - Abu Dhabi

A leading global player in the EPC engineering market is looking for a equipment engineering section manager to support its ongoing and future projects. These projects would require knowledge of process design and simulation, equipment design and hydraulics for the project to be completed successfully. The company delivers Engineering, Procurement and Construction services to the oil and gas, pipeline, refinery and petrochemical sectors.

Responsibilities:

„X In charge of all functions performed by the mechanical equipment group (design, specification, selection, and services related to mechanical equipment such as rotating machinery, pressure vessels, atmospheric storage tanks, fired and unfired heat transfer equipment, utility equipment and packaged units)
„X Responsible for the proposal works including material requisitions, man-hours estimation and equipment cost estimation.
„X Assemble and supervise a Mechanical Engineering/Design group capable of executing a project
„X Initiate the development of and approve project specific work methods, standards and specifications to ensure quality control is maintained
„X Handle the interfaces with client, project management, suppliers and corporate management
„X Provide technical guidance to engineers
„X Develop man-hour estimates, review with engineering management for approval and submission to the Project
„X Maintain up to date technical knowledge to ensure appropriate input into designs and most cost effective design techniques are utilized
„X Ensure a safe, efficient plant design developed to comply with agreed project standards

Required Skills/Experience: Experience:

„X Mechanical engineering degree with engineering experience in Lead position in the Oil & Gas industry
„X Experience in conceptual design studies, feed, detailed engineering design, commissioning and operation of upstream Oil & Gas processes
„X Field experience in the manufacturing, performance testing, commissioning, and trouble shooting of mechanical equipment is strongly desired.
„X Have working knowledge of industry standards for oil and gas equipments.
„X Display an ability to handle proposal works and come up with man-hours estimation in addition to raising technical queries to accurately define the project scope of work
