A Lead Integrity Engineer is sought by a highly reputable company, in the oil and gas industry. The purpose of the role is to provide both technical and maintenance support to the operational installations in terms of integrity matters, including corrosion management. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the installations are maintained to the appropriate regulatory requirements.
The primary responsibilities of the role will include:- Liaise with Operations / Maintenance Managers and OIM’s in terms of integrity matters, including corrosion management.- Carry out asset integrity and corrosion audits onboard facilities.- Participate in incident investigation.- When necessary, provide technical support to the emergency response team.- Visit the installations as and when required.- Participate in planned shut downs / surveys.- Custodian of corrosion management plan.- Review UT gauging and other integrity related reports, and advise corrective actions, as required.- Review and provide the engineering solutions for Change Managements Requests from facilities as per procedure.- Review the Incident/Shutdown reports and verify/carry out root cause analysis.- Update the lesson learned based on Change Management requests , shut down review, survey/ audit reports etc.- Provide in-house training when necessary.- Provide budgetary requirements in terms of maintenance, long term plans and surveys.- Provide input for new project bids and variation orders. - Take an innovative approach and provide input for improvement of the Maintenance Management System.
It is necessary that applicants possess a high level of analytical ability, and be self motivated with a proven ability to take the initiative. In addition, applicants must have well developed IT skills and able to utilize these skills to a high standard. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that applicants have strong interpersonal skills and are culturally aware, with previous experience of working within multi-cultural environments.
