Petroleum People’s Geosciences team have been asked to source a senior geophysicist for a dynamic global operator with a strong presence in South East Asia. After reinvesting from several other producing fields in an aggressive exploration programme this midsize company are now looking to push through numerous development projects within the region. To help sustain this growth they are looking to build a core subsurface team for the project and a key professional for the team is a Senior Geophysicist. This role is specifically for an experienced professional so you must have a minimum of 10 years experience with an E&P operator. You role will be to develop recently appraised deepwater turbidite fields that have strong potential for future production. You will be charged with interpretation of acquired seismic data, integrating geological reservoir information into static models. Drawing upon your experience in assessing sub surface risk of opportunity along with supporting the full E&P lifecycle assessment will be necessary to succeed in this diverse environment. Exposure to gas clouds would be seen as a distinct advantage. This role would ideally suit a Geophysicist who enjoys a ‘hands on’ technical role within an integrated multi-disciplinary subsurface team. Someone who thrives on the responsibility of working in a fully integrated team would be well positioned to succeed in the role, in a business which is renowned for considerable investment in both personnel and technological development.
