Leading Oil Service company, based in Dyce are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and develop their team. Main purpose of the job: To deliver a customer focused payroll service. Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while ensuring all legal compliances are met. Deliver a high quality service to internal and external customers in a professional manner within the specified timeframes. Effectively lead, manage and support a team of payroll specialists to work unanimously in a challenging and highly pressurised environment. Responsibilities:
• Responsible for delivering and leading a professional team of payroll administrators, payroll specialists and payroll supervisors in delivering an accurate and timely payroll service meeting current and future arrangements for pay and conditions. • Responsible for liaising with Human Resource, Finance and external Business Partners in a professional and competent manner to ensure business needs are met and delivered effectively. • Critically review and analyse current payroll processes and systems, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best practice and efficiency improvements in operations, which meet the expectations of the client their customers and internal and external business partners. • Ensuring the payroll department, HR and Senior Managers are abreast of all developments and legislation surrounding payroll, pensions and benefits. Ensuring all legislation is implemented and adhered to and where necessary any system changes adhered to. • Undertake month end and year end procedures, ensuring commitments are met with reconciliations, P35’s, P11d’s P60’s, and internal and external audit compliances are met at all times. • Responsible for ensuring pay awards, salary changes and other payroll activities are met with the specified timeframes. • Ensuring that Statutory and Voluntary payroll deductions are paid to appropriate bodies in a timely manner and incorrect format. • Manage regular preparations of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year end reports. • Mentor, coach and train the payroll team, ensuring appraisals, skill development and individual and team targets are implemented achieved and measured. • Undertake regular team meetings and supervisions with payroll team members, ensuring the team remain motivated and committed to their daily activities. • Act as a payroll representative with specific projects when required and effectively communicate with senior management team when required. • Responsible for ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to, including financial regulations and health and safety. • Responsible for effectively managing resources in line with payroll budget. • Undertake any other duties which may be deemed as reasonable.
