An excellent opportunity for a Senior Naval Architect to work on a variety of worldwide projects. This role will mainly be an office based position but travel overseas and offshore will be required.The work involves naval architectural analyses and project administration as part of the clients growing and varied workload. Experience in the following would be an advantage: • Riser and mooring analysis • Vessel motion studies • Multi-body Dynamic analyses • Hydrodynamic modelling The ideal candidates would be able to demonstrate relevant engineering background and a proven track record in a similar field. Applicants having a degree in Naval Architecture and with chartered status will be given preference. It would be helpful for candidates to have a good understanding of first principle hydrodynamics with knowledge of industry standard software packages such as Orcaflex, Freecom/Flexcom, MOSES, AQWA, etc. Candidates with a proven track record in, or candidates with an aptitude for, project management gained at a recognised offshore engineering consultancy or offshore contractor, in addition to knowledge of hydrodynamics, will be given special consideration.
