Claims Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a UK based firm with several international offices now seeks an experience and well qualified Claims Quantity Surveyor for a role lasting around a year based in Singapore. You will need to have good experience in dealing with claims and disputes and be able to mediate between the client Project manager and the EPC contractor Project Manager to help solve and rectify problems leading to claims and disputes about time and quantum issues. Previous experience of doing claims for refinery projects is required in particular on the mechanical and electrical engineering aspects of a refinery. You will be Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent and ideally be ACIArb, MRICS and possibly also LLM or LLB qualified. You must have a good track record as a claims consultant and be able to work at high level without supervision. A good understanding of contracts and the oil and gas industry will be essential for this role which will be for around 12 months. Accommodation and flights will be provided.
