This role resides within the Downstream Business Solutions group. This is a new group within Foster Wheeler aimed at growing business in the areas of Refining and Petrochemicals and monitoring potential new business areas for Foster Wheeler. The successful candidate will be a driving force in these business areas.

The key elements of the role are:

· Maintain core knowledge of developments in petrochemicals production technology and develop relationships with technology providers.

· Involved in conceptual studies, optimisation work and pre-FEEDs in the petrochemicals business areas as part of the project team.

· Provide support to FEED teams requiring specialist petrochemicals experience.

· Working closely with customers to understand their needs and produce designs and services to meet these needs.

· Provide technical support to business winning activities as required.

· Coach and mentor less experienced staff.

Minimum qualifications: Engineering degree and Chartered Engineer.

· Demonstrable experience with strong up-to-date process engineering knowledge of petrochemicals processes and derivative chains for olefins and aromatics.

· Possess the skills to manage their own work, and the work of others.

· Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills

· Experienced in the execution of conceptual studies, optimisation work and front end engineering design within the downstream sector.

· Good customer focus and cost awareness.
