General
The post holder will support the Lead C&I Engineer during the BGS Execute phase by ensuring that the EPCM design conforms to agreed standards and design & operating philosophy. He/she shall provide control and instrumentation expertise to ensure reliable, safe and maintainable design. The main focus shall be on field instrumentation and packages but post holder may also contribute to control & safety systems design.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Review technical documentation from suppliers & contractors
• Attend design, progress and safety reviews as required
• Consult with TAQA existing assets team in standardisation / operability objectives
• Contribute to vendor selection process in a technical capacity
• Adhere to the applicable safety regulations
• Ensure relevant TAQA standards and policies are adhered to
• Attend HAZOP, SIL and HSE reviews; as required

HSE
• To not endanger the safety of one’s self or others*
• Adhere to the applicable safety regulations for the location of office
• Having received sufficient training to work on the location
• To maintain the safety tools supplied by TAQA and keep then in good shape*
• Use all tools and dangerous substances in the correct and prescribed manner
• Know or be able to find procedures, standards and instructions of the Safety Management System
• Execute work in accordance with the Corporate Critical Safe Work Standards
• Adhere to measures indicated in the specific risk analysis such as a TRA
• Attend safety, kick off and tool box meetings and contribute to those if requested*
• Support incident research and contribute to those if requested*
• Report deviations, incidents and dangerous situations immediately to the team leader or HSSE representative*
• Prevent harm to the environment by reducing and separating waste where indicated and prevent our installations or processes to cause spills or exhaust gasses
• During transport or travel adhere to the legal or transporter’s regulations including those of the helicopter transporter and adhere to the TAQA defensive driving rules as well as advice regarding road transport
• Ensure timely follow up with examinations required by law or TAQA

Other Information
The position requires (majority) presence in the EPCM contractor office during detailed design activities. Attendance is also required during construction, commissioning and start-up phase on the Bergermeer well site and Boekelermeer facility site near Alkmaar. Post holder will also be required to visit suppliers premises.



Status: Staff
Required Skills/Experience: Skills and Competencies
• Minimum 5-7 years experience in similar position
• The ability to work and consult with multi-discipline project team members
• Computer literate / familiarity with databases/ engineering tools
• Ability to co-ordinate with counterpart in EPCM contractor office
• Awareness of complete lifecycle considerations in selection process
• Involvement in previous gas storage/processing project would be an advantage
• Familiarity with Intrinsic safety concepts
• Knowledge of field bus technologies and valve performance testing
• To prioritise HSE, Operational and Project related work to overall benefit of the Bergermeer gas storage project
• Good command of the Dutch language is desirable


Required Qualifications: Business Qualifications
• Chartered Engineer
• Recognised degree in relevant engineering discipline
• Familiarity with vendors and products and current technological trends/developments
