General
The post holder will be assigned as Mechanical Rotating Engineer to the Bergermeer gas storage project at the EPCM engineering contractor facilities and part time presence in the TAQA office (either in The Hague, or on site during construction). The post holder will provide mechanical rotating engineering support to the project during the Execute phase. Main focus for the post holder will be to provide mechanical rotating engineering expertise for the detailed design, construction and commissioning and start-up of the Bergermeer gas storage facilities. In addition the post holder shall consult the Asset team (Operations and Engineering) in the detailed design.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Mechanical rotating engineering input during detailed design
• Review technical documentation
• Attend HAZOP, SIL and HSSE reviews
• Monitor the activities between EPCM contractor and compressor vendor (attend interface meetings)
• Attend Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT)
• Reporting to the Facilities Engineering Lead
• Close communication with the Bergermeer project team
• Involvement of the Asset team in the detailed design (Operations and Engineering)

HSE
• To not endanger the safety of one’s self or others*
• Adhere to the applicable safety regulations for the location of office
• Having received sufficient training to work on the location
• To maintain the safety tools supplied by TAQA and keep then in good shape*
• Use all tools and dangerous substances in the correct and prescribed manner
• Know or be able to find procedures, standards and instructions of the Safety Management System
• Execute work in accordance with the Corporate Critical Safe Work Standards
• Adhere to measures indicated in the specific risk analysis such as a TRA
• Attend safety, kick off and tool box meetings and contribute to those if requested*
• Support incident research and contribute to those if requested*
• Report deviations, incidents and dangerous situations immediately to the team leader or HSSE representative*
• Prevent harm to the environment by reducing and separating waste where indicated and prevent our installations or processes to cause spills or exhaust gasses
• During transport or travel adhere to the legal or transporter’s regulations including those of the helicopter transporter and adhere to the TAQA defensive driving rules as well as advice regarding road transport
• Ensure timely follow up with examinations required by law or TAQA

Other Information
The position requires the (part time) presence in the EPCM contractor office during detailed design activities. During construction, commissioning and start-up, attendance is required on the Bergermeer and Boekelermeer facility site near Alkmaar.

Required Skills/Experience: Skills and Competencies
More than 10 years experience in mechanical rotating activities including
• Experience in detailed design of plants related to compressor systems
• Commissioning and start-up of compressor systems
• Operational knowledge
• Attended multiple HAZOP, SIL, HSSE reviews
• The ability to work as a part of a multi-discipline project team
• Excellent communication skills
• Required skills to prioritise HSSE, Operational and Project related work to overall benefit of the Bergermeer gas storage project
• Good command of the Dutch language is desirable
Required Qualifications: Business Qualifications
• Recognised degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Understanding of engineering contracts and procedures
• VCA Certified
• Ability to solve challenges (on site)
• Able to work under pressure
• Pro-active attitude
• Demonstrated record and leadership in HSSE
