Job Description
Foster Wheeler intends to appoint a Security Manager to develop and manage operational security and crisis management across its diverse global engineering and construction business. This position reports to the Manager, Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Security (HSEQS). Key aspects of the job are: · Act as primary security contact within the organisation · Develop and manage cohesive operational security and crisis management systems, with supporting procedures, guidelines, training and exercises · Manage and co-ordinate operational security, liaising as necessary with internal business units, external consultants, clients and other third parties · Manage and administer secure travel arrangements for personnel visiting or deployed to at-risk countries or regions · Monitor and advise management on security threat levels · Ensure the security management system supports the company security policy · Develop and maintain excellent relationships at all levels of the business, including operational and corporate services, to communicate and gain commitment for security and crisis management good practice. · Manage outsourced security contracts and provide guidance to Procurement department on criteria and standards for security services
Requirements The successful candidate will:· Be an experienced, qualified and competent security practitioner capable of operating at a variety of management levels within a corporate environment, with sector experience in industrial or commercial security with a strong lean towards supporting business units and employees facing at-risk situations in the oil and gas or similar environments. · Be able to demonstrate achievements in implementing security and asset protection strategies. · Commercially minded and capable of understanding and working with internal and external stakeholders and authorities · Combine thinking and analytical capabilities with a collaborative work style to get necessary buy-in from business groups · Build strong relationships with business teams to ensure effective communication at all levels · Have a strong security networking capability, with established access to peer groups and individuals, for sharing and benchmarking best practice · Be IT literate with the Microsoft suite of applications and Lotus Notes, and be willing to learn new systems and processes to support strategic and day-to-day business operations
The Individual For this role you will need to possess industry recognised Security and Management credentials, for example:· Membership of an industry security management body · Membership of a management or leadership body · A Bachelors or Masters degree in a security risk related subject · Professional security certification (e.g. CPP, PSP) Ideally, the candidate will also demonstrate a good working knowledge of other relevant business and security-related principles, including: · Health and Safety · Employment Law · Information Security · Data Protection · Audit
