Our client

Objectives of job:
The main objectives of this job are to provide reservoir engineering advice and support to the operating companies, new business and new venture operations within the organisation. The incumbent must be able to manage several projects simultaneously whilst providing guidance in support of colleagues from different disciplines. He must also possess a good working understanding of the requirements of reserves assessments to SEC and SPE standards.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Provide advice and support within multidisciplinary teams with the target to optimize the production/recovery from existing oilfields and/or to mature new finds into a field development.
Improve and promoting the correct development and utilization of integrated asset management plans for developing and developed field.
Lead smaller workgroups, task forces or teams with general tasks relating to project management and/or specific tasks relating to reservoir engineering.
Liaise effectively with operating companies to assist them in realizing their business objectives with respect to reservoir management
Develop links and liaise with appropriate industry and research partners to introduce new technologies to the company.
Represent the company in Technical Committee Meetings when required.
Responsible for obligations resulting from HSE program and activity plan within his working area.
Provide advice on reserves assessments and audit; maintain and keep current the Resource Management Manual.

Qualifications:
Internationally recognised university education, preferably in Petroleum Engineering (MSc)

Key skills:
Expert in one or more and highly competent in the following skill areas:
Reservoir Characterization (OH logging, coring, special core analysis, etc.)
Fluid Characterization (fluid sampling, analysis, equations of state, etc.)
Well Reservoir Engineering (CH logging, well testing, stimulation, artificial lift etc.)
Field Reservoir Engineering (reservoir description, fluid dynamics, reservoir simulation (Eclipse), production forecasting, reserves estimation, improved/enhanced oil recovery etc.)
Reservoir Management (production/recovery optimization, field development, etc.)
Asset Management (interdisciplinary business approach, petroleum contracts, etc.)
Well testing design and execution and pressure transient analysis.
Integrated surface and subsurface modeling (using integrated asset modeling methodology)
Excellent presentation skills, effective communicator, recognized mentoring capabilities.
