We have been asked to source a Chief Fire Officer to work in Abu Dhabi for one of the worlds leading onshore drilling companies.Suitable candidate will be responsible for the following: Leads and develops the Fire & Rescue Section to ensure readiness to respond immediately to Fire, Hydrocarbon and Toxic Gas Release, Vehicle Accidents, Rescue and Fire Loss Control related situations within all Terminal facilities on a 24/7 basis. Prevents and minimises loss of life and property damage as a result of fire, gas release incidents, vehicle incidents and rescue situations. Studies, monitors, inspects, tests, develops and advises on all matters related to fire including: emergency response, fire fighting plans, evacuation procedures, protection, training, Brigade members development, ensuring adherence to all codes and standards, prevention, equipment and systems. Responds to the actuation of Automatic Fire Alarm Systems which are situated within structures outside of process and storage areas for facilities, performs the duties of the supreme Commander of the Fire Brigade Station and implements appropriate actions. Ensures that the JD Fire Brigade and Rescue Section is ready to respond to calls for mutual aid assistance honouring commitment and obligations. Liases with all other mutual aid partners, develops the association to be an increasingly effective body, whereby members are trained and fully conversant with one anothers facilities, risks and fire / emergency procedures. Post holder works on a 12 hour day basis and is required to respond to incidents at night outside of his normal working hours as required by the Terminal Facilities Response Plan, which may result in irregular hours being worked. Work covers all JD industrial area, the tank farm, utilities, administration, warehousing and accommodation facilities. The role is availale on a single or married status.
