Connect Group are looking for a Manager – Mergers & Acquisitions to work in Saudi Arabia for a major Mining company on a residential basis.

Position

Manages and supports the business growth through acquisitions, leads and supports the strategic evaluation, financial analysis and execution of acquisitions, investments, joint ventures and divestitures. Manages acquisition projects across business units as well as be assigned a focus area within one or two business units in acquisition projects. In addition also coordinates and closely works with cross-functional teams (i,e, finance, human resources, mining, project management) in analyzing and executing acquisition transactions. Reports to Vice President – Finance. Because of the involvement in the full cycle M & A process he will be exposed to high profile and global investment banks adjacent to the process.

Experience/ Qualifications Required

CPA required
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Economics
MA/MBA desired
Around 10 years total work experience including a minimum of 4-5 years experience in investment banking, management consulting and/or business development

Direct experience in M&A execution and integration
Good understanding of Mining industry, particularly Gold, Phosphate, Aluminium
Superior skills in strategic and financial analysis as well as strong communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams
Ability to write detailed, articulate reports of findings is essential.
Strong writing skills are required.
Must be proficient at communicating quantitative information.
Strong verbal communication skills and executive presence are essential. Discussions are often at the CEO, CFO and controller levels of the organization.
Ability to work in teams with lawyers, investment bankers and management and financial consultants is essential.
Must be able to work very effectively with client, other professional advisors, and other members of the Ma’aden team.
Proficiency in POWERPOINT is highly desirable; many presentations are prepared in this format
