Due to continued growth and an excellent reputation in the industry, Eurosearch & Selection are currently recruiting for a Chief Engineer on behalf of a leading marine consultancy based in London.

Working for a consultancy ensures that job roles vary on a weekly basis. As Chief Engineer duties will include;

• Compile Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA’s)
• Compile and conduct DP Trials
• Conduct FMEA Proving Trials
• Carry out Annual DP Trials
• Carry out occasional Common Marine Inspections
• Assist other departments with expert advice as required

To be considered for this position potential candidates must posses the following,

• Chief Engineer with unlimited Certificate of Competency
• At least 10 years sea-going experience.
• Must have served in a command position, ideally on at least two DP vessels
• Must have experience with medium and high speed engines
• Be capable of reading and understanding schematic drawings
• Experience with HV Switchboards would be an advantage
• Candidates must be good communicators with particular skills in technical reporting and able to work within a small team as well as independently
• Candidates must be self motivated
• Candidates must be available for frequent brief international travel
• Candidates must be medically fit for offshore work.
• Currently living within commuting distance of Central London
