In this position you would be working as Project Engineer in our client’s Main Office in Tripoli, to manage projects, generate scopes for civil works review the submission of design and drawings from main contractors in terms of technical compliance to ensure that the submitted design takes into account quality, safety during construction, operation and maintenance.

You will be required to review the main contractors design and drawing packages that are related to all aspects of civil design and review design work and structural calculations and studies being carried out by others. Liaise with other related disciplines, mainly communications, mechanical and electrical and co-ordinated work and have excellent technical report writing skill as well as sufficient knowledge in computer applications including CAD and MS Office.

The ideal candidate will have considerable experience gained in field work, experience and engineering design in pre-fabricated steel buildings and structure, roads, harbour and breakwaters. You will be conversant with the practices and procedures of international design codes and standards and have strong experience in statical and dynamic calculation of structures using STAADPRO and SAP2000 Software programs.

Qualifications
You shall have a BSc. Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University, a detailed understanding of the subject and proven evidence of technical capabilities. Ideally you should and have experience of Civil engineering in the Petrochemical / Oil & Gas Industry,
English language competency is essential

This is an 8 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation working 8 hours a day six days a week £325 per day net of Libyan taxes. Air tickets to and from your nearest home airport for each leave period. This is a two year contract role (renewable).

Accommodation and all meals are provided accommodation is camp based and will either be in a 2-bedroom Swedish style wooden bungalow (2 men per bungalow) or in a one man unit. All accommodation is fully air-conditioned and well equipped. The camp has a gym, tennis court, swimming pool and sauna.
