My client is a major player in the field of Gas Turbines used in the energy and power generation industry. This a very well established and reputable international company with a turnover of $5 billion, they are expanding their network have some excellent opportunities in the Middle East. They are currently working on an EPC project on instillation of some major Gas Turbines for a power generation facility in Saudi Arabia. The Project Managers role is to provide management of respective EPC projects including turnkey construction projects. The PM is the customer advocate to quality and on-time delivery and has the profit and loss responsibility for project performance. The PM plays a proactive role in problem identification, recommendation and resolution by highlighting these areas and assisting other departments in solving issues, which affect project performance.
Specific responsibilities of the position include: Act on behalf of Business Development to develop customer relationships, opportunity identification, project estimates and execution planning. This responsibility is expected to be full-time at the conception of the business and revert to business development support as the management team is expanded once contract backlog is established. Assume full Customer interface for engineering, procurement, delivery, invoicing and payment and construction issues at time of contract award. Primary focal point for project written and verbal communication between the company and the customer. Manage Project Controls assigned resource for schedule and cost compliance. Responsible for internal distribution of all project related documentation for review and revision as required. Responsible for coordinating internal resources needed for project execution including engineering, construction, procurement, HSE, QC, document control, scheduling and cost control. Contract profit and loss management. Manages commercial aspects of the contract including but not limited to; amendments, change orders and commercial instruments. Conducts periodic project budget reviews, manage project cost and provide reports detailing cash flow, cost forecast to completion and budget variances. Ensures the contractor bid packages are closely managed against prime contract terms and conditions. Manages the execution risk in conjunction with construction management team. The Project Manager fields all inquiries from the Customer. The Project Manager ensures that the Project Engineer compiles and transmits all relevant information. Relationships: 1. Required Skills/Experience:

Background and Skill Minimum ten (10) years experience in Project Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management with significant experience in the power industry; Gas Turbine power generation experience preferably with General Electric, Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce aero-derivative product lines, General Electric, Alstom and Siemens industrial gas turbine product lines and/or thermal or Rankine cycle generation equipment; Project controls (cost and schedule experience), construction management, and familiarity with commercial transactions including insurance, letters of credit and bonds Sound knowledge of business management principles, practices, procedures and strong negotiation skills Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills Abilities to set priorities and work independently Fluency both written and verbal English and Arabic
