Salary: �55,000 to �60,000 subject to client approval

Our client located in Aberdeen is currently looking to recruit a Senior to Principal level Mechanical Engineer on a staff basis.

This company is a global consulting and engineering services firm focusing on the energy, forest industry and infrastructure & environmental sectors. There business idea is to offer expertise, solutions and local services covering the entire lifecycle of their clients� business and investment projects.

As Mechanical Engineer you will have extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry in rotating equipment and package engineering in the United Kingdom. It is essential that you have north seas experience.

The successful candidate will have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and professional membership with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers or equivalent.

Ideally candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

Specific design and operational experience and familiarity with unit operations and systems design.

Familiarity with local activity in the oil and gas production and awareness of the potential development areas.

Some experience in interfacing with other disciplines involved in the development process.

Experience in identification and screening of development concepts and FEED.

Experience in feasibility, concept selection, front end engineering studies and detailed engineering.

Experience of participation in small to medium scale process and multi-discipline projects.

Experience in interfacing with operations personnel and engineering disciplines in both design house and operating company environments.

Skills in interfacing with established client relationships. Identifying new opportunities and manage the approval to proceed with the client representative.

This is a fantastic opportunity which pays a salary of £55000 to £60000 subject to client approval.
