Drilling Engineer (GoM)

The Drilling Engineer (GoM) will be accountable for engineering activity covering the planning, program preparation and execution of drilling and workover operations within the wells team.

Success here is dependent on leveraging the collective efforts of some of the most experienced technical experts in the world. Join them and you will deliver engineering design, program preparation and operational support on new and existing wells, working with multi-disciplinary teams and ensure drilling programs, program amendments and dispensations to policy are prepared on schedule and are adequately risk assessed. The role involves up to 25% offshore work.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Deepwater Drilling Engineer (Gulf of Mexico)applicants must have:
• Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
• A Bachelor degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline or commensurate industry experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience planning and executing a well design or downhole equipment design and manufacturing for oil or gas wells.
• Demonstrated experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Previous experience working as a Drilling Engineer or as an engineer for downhole equipment design and manufacturing.
• Planning and design skills, cost estimation and risk analysis, operation support to field teams, HSE behaviors, teamwork skills across multi-disciplinary teams
• The ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• A willingness and ability to work in small, confined places, on high platforms, walk on high elevation grating over water, walk up and down steps, and ride in a helicopter or boat over waters and be transferred via personnel basket, pertaining to offshore operations
