My client is an international organization who offer full turnkey solutions within the power generation sector amongst many more.

Due to continuous growth they now seek a Project Contract Manager to be based in Brazil.

Reporting to the Project Director, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

•support the project execution start-up, to include contract analysis and preparation of commercial execution plan.
•working closely with Project Planning Manager. You will ensure appropriate schedules for subcontracts are produced and maintained, to support claims,
•responsible for all project contractual activities from Hand Over to Sales to completion
•support project risk and opportunity identification and analysis. Support the management of
•management of claims to / from customers Support the management of claims to / from Contractors and Suppliers as required.
•management of customer Variation Requests / Orders.
•management of Project Insurances.
•claims submission and monitoring. Settlement of insurance claims.
•implementation of specific contractual procedures, particularly regarding claims, insurance, variation orders, correspondence and notifications.
•implementation of contract management strategy when facing a potential dispute.

The requirements

•A BSc in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Law,
•At least 10 years experience,
•Contract Management experience within EPC/ Industrial/Oil and Gas sector- ideally with power generation experience,
•Thorough understanding of Contract Law,
•Excellent negotiation and communication skills,
•Claims experience; dispute resolution, arbitration experience is beneficial,
•Experience of working on high profile projects in the excess of US$200million,
•Fluency in Portuguese (spoken and written) and English (spoken and written- although the Portuguese language skills are more important).
