The job holder is responsible for:

Participate in Logistics Studies for Marine Vessels and Marine Systems expertise.

According to results of Logistics Studies, design, engineer and produce tender specifications of Agip KCO Marine Vessels.

Study and evaluate specific Marine Vessels and Marine Systems having characteristics of complexity and difficulty.

Identify potential Marine Vessels and Marine Systems Design Contractors. Evaluate pre-qualification documentation; audit Contractors assets; recommend inclusion in the Vendor List.

Prepare Marine Vessels and Marine Systems technical specifications to be included into tender documentation. Participate in Bid evaluations. Participate in Issuing technical advice.

In co-operation with the Logistics Operations, HSE, Project and Offshore Constructions to participate in the preparation and update of the operational guidelines/procedures and Marine Operations Manual periodical update.

Attend shipyards as required where new builds are taking place and report on contractor progress.

To coordinate third party (Contractor) shipyards supervision team, monitoring relevant activity on site. To prepare relevant.

To coordinate third party (Contractor) marine engineering team, evaluating technical and economical proposals monitoring relevant activity. To prepare relevant report.

In cooperation with Logistic Operations when requested, and taking into account technical feed back from construction sites, identify and propose possible ways of technical and economical improvement / optimization.

Prepare Budgets and assist other departments in costs estimate for Marine related activities.

In co-operation with the Logistic Operations where requested, cooperate in inspection and auditing related activities of Marine Assets.

Evaluate C.V. and interview candidates to be later included in vacant Marine Logistics positions. To prepare recommendation report..

Required Skills/Experience: Qualifications & Experience:
The job holder should have

At least 15 years experience in the design and build of new vessels obtained within a shipyard background

At least 5 years new build project management experience

Multiyear experience in Shipyards, Class Societies and or Design Houses.

Previous experience in Oil & Gas Industry of in Company

Sounding experience related to major IMO Codes application & compliance: SOLAS, MARPOL, MODU as a minimum

Desired Skills/Experience: The job holder should have proven:

Experience in the design of vessels, marine equipment and related systems.

Experience in marine construction projects.

Fully conversant with problems associated in working in remote areas with limited infrastructure support.

Fully conversant with offshore drilling and oil operations, including environmental implications.

Excellent computer, written and oral skills.

Problem solver and able to identify opportunities.

The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-cultural environment
Promote a positive culture in relation to Marine Vessels and Marine Systems Engineering.

Minimum Experience: 15 years
Maximum Experience: 25 years
