Accountabilities and Responsibilities:- Working closely with both the Application specialist and the ICT departments supporting the ERP Technical coordinator
- Maint District ICT Head ain, monitoring and enhance the existing and proposed ERP systems and Oracle Databases.
- Provide SAP Basis Administration and WAS (Web Application Server) support
- Maintain the OneWorld, SmartStream and Cognos environments
- Resolve technical and business issues within the standard problem escalation process using Call Logging system and responding immediately to any critical conditions and proactively to any developing conditions, including Database locking (track, document, and correct).
- Document processes and procedures regarding system maintenance and installation configuration
- Prepare technical/project plans for the application of Service Packs, Electronic Software Updates, upgrades and other changes to the system configuration.
- Apply upgrades and updates including service packs, ESUs, ASUs, SAP Hot/Support Packages and Kernel patches
- Monitor and optimise response times of ERP Systems including Oracle and SQL databases and Citrix Metaframe
- Support the ERP Security officer and enforce security of system data access
- Administer, maintain, review, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of Agip KCO’s databases and coordinate with relevant teams to implement any changes
- Work with software vendors (Web site, hotline) to troubleshoot technical issues
- Develop and implement system backup and recovery strategy
- SQL Server and Oracle Database administration
- Unix administration
- Perform on-going tuning of the ERP, Web and Terminal Server environments
- Work with other ICT teams (e.g. Application Support, Networking, Help Desk) and/or ENI teams to facilitate and apply changes, patches, and update in the ERP Systems and provide pre and post go live support.
- Work with ICT teams and/or ENI teams and closely with ERP team to provide support to SAP R/3 Application and Portal

Required Skills/Experience:

Qualifications & Experience: Candidates should have a University degree in IT or Computing and a minimum of 3 years recent experience in the administration of SAP R/3, SAP Portal, SAP Solution Manager, Cognos, Smartstream, Windows 2000 Operating System, SQL Server 2000 and Citrix Metaframe in a multi Server Environment. Any experience of administering SAP Basis, Web Application Server and Oracle Database would be advantageous.
