Disciplines and Maintenance Lead

Job Purpose:
To recommend and suggest theoretical and workplace based oil & Gas maintenance training programmes for Shell Kashagan personnel

Responsibilities:
Provide expert knowledge on Company oil and gas maintenance disciplines
Act as a interface between the project and Kazakhstan oil and gas disciplines and maintenance
Provide expert advice on suggested initiatives with regards to acceptance within Kazakhstan
To research and assist with the development of appropriate Maintenance Technical Training Packages / Courses (Modules.
To co-ordinate with other discipline Consultant/ report writers.
Draft & provide accurate reports and recommendations as and when required by the Competence Lead or PTS management
To provide the coordinator with detailed student progress reports containing the assessment, level of competence, attendance and behaviours of the trainees
Liaise with equipment vendors, and any additional specialist instrumentation suppliers to ensure that the right teaching materials that support the knowledge required for a trainee to develop satisfactory workplace competence are captured in the report and recommendations
Have a good understanding of international training standard used for competence like NVQ, OPITO etc and utilise these concepts in the findings and recommendations

Employee must be physically fit and capable of working at project site with extreme weather conditions.
Effective communicator with a genuine interest in the subject matter.
Be capable of working with different cultures and developing good working relationships with trainees.
He / she needs to have a flexible attitude to all work activities, and be prepared to accept training schedule changes If necessary, and to work unsocial hours to get the job done.


Status: Contract
Required Skills/Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years experience, with five (5) years field experience, in executing Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument Maintenance training courses for oil & gas/petrochemical & energy sector.
Five (5) years experience in developing mechanical/electrical/ Instrument training courses for the Engineering and construction fields.
Two (2) years experience in training consultancy
Desired Skills/Experience: Five (5) years of comprehensive experience with the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of a wide range of modern rotating and static equipment.
Should be able to write reports and suggest recommendations.
Required Qualifications: Diploma in the field of Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Instrument Engineering
Desired Qualifications: Degree in the field of Mechanical/Industrial//Electrical/Instrument Engineering
