Project Training Manager

Responsibilities :
planning, organising, co-ordinating, controlling and leading
Overall management of project team
Ensuring the research, data collection and collation are within the aims, objectives and deliverables
Ensuring timelines and milestones are met
Monitoring and control of project budget
Ensure the project is clearly defined and understood by all
Enable the project objectives match the business objectives of the sponsor organisation
Allow responsibilities for different parts of the project to be understood, allocated and agreed
Adopt a logical approach to planning & estimating resources
Provide a consistent means of monitoring and controlling progress
Coordinate the activities between the client and Petrofac
Final Report and Recommendation

Responsible For :
Project definition & milestones
Strategic project plan (SPP)
Work breakdown structure (WBS) &
Task responsibility matrix (TRM),
Draft master plan (DMS)
Task definitions & responsibility charts
KPI’s and Performance reports – time and cost
Quality standards – related to project process and product
End of phase & project review reports


Employee must be physically fit and capable of working at project site with extreme weather conditions.
Effective communicator with a genuine interest in the subject matter.
Be capable of working with different cultures and developing good working relationships with the team.
They need to have a flexible attitude to all work activities and be prepared to accept work schedule changes and if necessary, work unsocial hours to get the job done.


Status: Contract
Required Skills/Experience: Five (5) years experience of managing technical training projects, in oil and gas/petrochemical/refinery/energy sector
Ten (10) years of hand-on experience in refinery/petrochemical or oil & gas plant operations (production or maintenance)
Experienced in consultancy, budgeting and cost control.
Experience of working with Government bodies.
Desired Skills/Experience: Experience in managing complex projects
Experience of leading research projects
Experience in use of MS Project/Primavera or equivalent software.
Desired Qualifications: Degree in Chemical Engineering/Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineer
Diploma/Degree in Project Management
