JOB PURPOSE - OVERALL SUMMARY

To provide a Human Resource support function to the various business units to meet business objectives. This support function will be ongoing and generalist in nature.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support the Dyce HR team in the provision of a professional HR service to Supervisors/Line Managers and employees providing ongoing HR support and advise to maximise effective people management in the organisation. This will include all areas of HR: recruitment and selection process, contracts of employment, induction, absence management, pensions, termination of employment, compensation and benefits and medical provision.
* Provide specific HR support to dedicated business units including advice regarding benefits, policies and procedures, medical assistance, exit interviews, bank references, long service awards, etc.
* Maintain up-to-date HR records in an efficient and confidential manner to record personal details, sickness and absence information allowing effective information retrieval to enable the management of employees and for statistical and audit purposes.
* Liaise with other departments to provide HR support to the organisation, including the Payroll department to ensure all employee changes are correctly amended.
* Fully participate in HR initiatives and projects as directed by either the HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor to improve the service of the department to the organisation.
* Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfill these.

* Apply Weatherford, and where appropriate Client Company's, Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Management Systems.
* Act in accordance with the Roles and Responsibilities as designated in Document 2-2-EW-GB-EDI-00001
ADDITIONAL RELEVANT INFORMATION ABOUT JOB

Although the position will be based in Dyce, the person must be a car owner and be flexible to work in different Weatherford locations within Aberdeen, as and when required.



Status: Staff
Required Skills/Experience: QUALIFICATIONS Essential:
* Must be either studying or prepared to study for CIPD qualification
* Maths and English at least at standard grade or equivalent level
Preferred:
* HND or Degree Educated in a relevant qualification
EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE
Essential:
* Experience within a customer service environment.
Preferred:
* Previous experience within an HR administrative function and experience in dealing with disciplinary investigations would be preferred.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Essential:
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft office systems
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
Preferred:
* Good working knowledge of AS400 or an HR system
PERSONAL QUALITIES
Essential:
* Must be a highly motivated and goal oriented individual, with an ability to:
* Work unsupervised and to take responsibility for effectiveness of own work
