Principal Piping & Mechanical Engineer

An Marketing leading EPC is looking for a Lead Mechanical & Piping Engineer to lead functional input to own projects, including where relevant leading the input of other (possibly multidisciplinary) engineers and subcontractors, to ensure engineering delivery meets scope, time, cost and quality

Your role will involve Planning and prioritise own work and that of more junior staff so that parallel activities are all completed in a timely manner
Carrying out engineering calculations and check the work of more junior staff to delivery a quality functional input to projects
Generate and check engineering estimates and execution strategies to provide optimal solutions and eliminate errors

You will be expected to produce DPD’s. MHD’s, MFD’s & MHSD’s, plant general arrangements & enquiry specifications
Responsible for BID analysis.
Attend at Hazop meetings.
Engineering safety via design (CDM)
Work to given procedures
Delivery of the technical and engineering service required by the functional leads
Skills, Knowledge and Special Attributes Needed for this Position:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
Relevant experience with an engineering company or operating company.

Corporate Membership of Professional Institution and Chartered Engineer with relevant experience in the industry.
Experience of working in a multi disciplined environment an advantage.
Capable of acting as Lead Engineer, responsible for a small team of designers and engineers.
Mobile to work in various UK locations.
