WRS are pleased to be representing a well known engineering consultancy who have a global presence and who operate within the sectors of Gas, Power, Nuclear and Infrastructure.

They have asked for WRS’s assistance in sourcing an experienced Project Manager within the Power sector to be based in Belgium.

The role:

You will be responsible for the implementation of project quality and HSE management, for the management of contractual relationship with customers, for the management of the contractual relation with contractors, in an EPC or multi-contract EPCM) configuration.

You will be driven by the achievement and improvement of the project objectives, in terms of performance, budget and planning. Safety and reliability will be re your prime concerns.

You will be confident in a role managing the activities of multi-disciplinary project teams performing either Feasibility Studies, Front-End Engineering Design studies, Construction & Commissioning (Owner's Engineer) or multi-contract projects (EPCM) on power projects all over the world.

Who you are:

An experienced Project Manager within the Power sector, you will be comfortable managing projects with investments over 100 M€

Candidates will be trained as an engineer with hands-on experience in project management of realization projects.

You have at least 5 years experience as a Project Manager and with the design and construction of complex process installations. You have on-site experience on large construction sites for process installations, preferably on Power Plants projects.

You have proven leadership capabilities and you understand the functioning of multidisciplinary and multi-cultural teams. You know how to coordinate tasks and resources.
You are a result-driven achiever with a proven capability to understand and solve multi-disciplinary technical problems.

You are good at performing rigorous planning and at assessing project risks. You are known to take initiative and corrective action whenever required.

You are at ease in contract negotiation and in communication with Senior Management levels. You are good at dealing with customers and contractors and you have strong presentation and influencing skills.

You have a very good command of English. You are willing to acquire at least a basic knowledge of French and/or Dutch.

You are willing to travel extensively, and you are open to expatriation.
