CONSTRUCTION MANAGER – OFFSHORE EXPERIENCE – ABU DHABIWRS’s client are pleased to be working with one of the most highly regarded names in the Oil & Gas industry. They provide a wide range of EPC services from feasibility studies to turnkey projects. Their main fields of activity include: Oil & Gas Production and Processing, both Onshore and Offshore Onshore & Offshore Revamp Projects Enhanced oil recovery (Gas injection, water injection) Field development, pipelines Gas Treatment Plants Refining / Petrochemicals They have asked WRS to assist in their search for a Construction Manager to be based in Abu Dhabi in an office based role. As Construction Manager you will come from a background involved with both Onshore and Offshore Construction, you will be familiar with the Construction Management of Topsides and Jackets. If successful you will supervise the Area Construction Managers (or the discipline superintendents or the discipline supervisors, depending of the size of the Project). You will be a member of the Site HSE&S Committee. RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will be responsible for: - Update the mobilisation / demobilisation plan of Site Supervision within the budget, - Update the mobilisation / demobilisation plan of Vendor Representatives in agreement with Field Engineering Manager and Project Control Manager. - Coordinate with the Site Project Control Manager for the issuing of the site weekly and monthly progress reports. - Coordinate the designated support team : schedule and progress control, field engineering, quality Management, HSE, subcontracts. - Supervise the Site Material Manager - Revise the construction schedule when the progress trend is deviating from the scheduled one and develop the strategies and corrective measures to be implemented in such a way that site progress will be in conformity with the revised planned schedule. Inform and agree with the Site Manager about those strategies. - Ensures that the plant is constructed safely in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and local regulations. - Check that inspections and tests are regularly carried out in field and properly documented, on the specific forms, and signed. - Approves the financial statement of Subcontracts, - Approves justifications given by the Subcontractors for any extra work order or claims requested, - Reviews and approves the subcontracts status and progress reports, - Reviews the amendments to the initial subcontract, - Initiates the final payment, - Chairs the kick-off meetings and the progress meetings with Subcontractors, - Verifies the invoices received from the Subcontractors, in collaboration with the Subcontract Administration Manager, Cost Control Manager and Area Construction Managers or discipline superintendents / supervisors before presenting them to Site Manager for approval, - Coordinates and verifies to the effect that the payments of subcontractor's invoices are not unduly delayed.
