BRIEF DESCRIPTION

This is a residential role and you must have a minimum of an Msc or Bsc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

To provide Instrumentation & Control Engineering expertise and support to the Offshore project engineers for EP Offshore Project through all engineering phases. This includes Conceptual Design, Front End Engineering, Detailed Design, Construction and Commissioning / Start-Up.

The job holder is responsible for:

Supervising and correctly directing Engineering Service Contractor during the execution of design (Starting for Conceptual Design), procurement and, in a later stage, construction activities, ensuring the quality and cost control of the works according to the contract requirements, and guaranteeing that the project targets (timing, cost and quality) are correctly met.

Providing technical input, in line with project requirements, into technical studies, and Basis of Design for offshore production and processing facilities for EP Offshore Project.

Ensuring a smooth and effective transfer of data and information between Contractors (in the event of Contractor change from Phase to Phase ) and from the Contractor to Agip KCO.

Ensuring consistency and homogeneity of all choices and solutions adopted through all project areas in terms of Instrumentation, Safety and Control.

Leading the identification, creation, and/or adoption of appropriate Instrumentation, Safety and Control Engineering standards, with appropriate consideration of Kazakhstan national standards and norms.

Identifying and assessing the technology (eventually new) and systems to allow improvements and facilitate design and operability of large-scale field development projects.

Assessing capabilities and limitations of industrial Kazakhstan and incorporate in development planning and risk mitigation processes.

Advising on instrumentation equipment standardization, availability and sparing philosophies.

Undertaking technical integrity and SHE Reviews/audits.

Participating in process safety management.

Job holder must have:

Degree in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Fluent English

Minimum of ten years discipline experience, preferably in complex onshore and offshore oil and gas project front end engineering, detailed design, delivery and operation. Include all aspects of Instrumentation, Safety, Control engineering (DCS/ESD, SCADA, PLC, Fire & Gas Systems etc.)

Experience in design and operation of high H2S content facilities with stringent requirements in terms of HSE, and handling of waxy fluids and crude oils.

Experience in Former Soviet Union and/or Caspian Area would be an advantage.

A previous similar company role, especially in managing and interfacing with major Contractor will be recommended.
