As Senior Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for comprehensive project control, covering all aspects of cost control, estimating and risk for a number of different prospects and projects. The main deliverables will be regular and accurate control reports and presentations.

Our Client is currently in the process of developing & executing a number of onshore and offshore projects. These projects are:
Completion of an onshore pipeline.
Close out of terminal and onshore storage of offshore facilities.
New on/offshore facility.
Offshore platform upgrade.

As Senior Cost Engineer, your main accountabilities will be:
Being responsible for cost control, estimating, work management and analysis for all phases of projects.
Executing cost control for contract and BGT project management costs.
Executing cost risk analysis and management of reserve utilisation (contingency).
Providing services including assistance during contract preparation, bid evaluation, contract administration and verification of contractual payments.
Developing and maintaining a suite of project cost control procedures
Assisting in the development and reporting of KPI and benchmarking.
Assisting in project delivery assurance through the tacking of compliance with internal procedures.

Required Competencies:
Familiar with both Project and Corporate contract and finance procedures.
Knowledge of computer based cost and planning tools, Excel, Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera or equivalent packages.
Familiar with cost probabilistic and associated software such as @Risk, Crystal ball etc.
Ability to work without supervision.
Ability to initiate and promote the discipline of project control.

Qualifications & Experience required for the position of Senior Cost Engineer:
Engineering HND, substantial Oil and Gas and cost & planning experience.
Experience in Onshore and Offshore Petrochemical Projects.
Experience in working direct or indirectly for a Major Oil Company.
Experience in preparing and executing control procedures.
