 Present various business opportunities, defend and justify these investments to senior Management.
 Develop planning models for strategic planning, feasibility studies and financial forecasting
 Prepare financial analyses and reports on proposed new business ventures, major capital projects and potential investments. Present and support the reports to senior management.
 Management of all stages of major power and water capacity addition projects from compilation of and issue of Invitation to Bid (ITB) to financial close:
o Manage the negotiations with investors and new venture partners post bid submission and selection.
o Co-ordinate the various consultancies required to achieve Purchase Agreement signing and project financial close.
o Coordinate input from bodies including government ministries where necessary to ensure project success
 Monitor progress of major strategic projects for planning department
 Team leader re preparation and review of financial analysis reports and conduct economic feasibility studies of proposed major capital projects.
 Fulfil technical / financial advisory function to supervisor.
 Maintain the various agreements for the corporation vis-à-vis bulk customers – Power & Water Sales Agreements, MOU & LOU.
 Manage the annual Demand Survey of Bulk customers.
 Prepare the departmental budget.
Qualifications & experience:
 BSC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering plus post graduate courses / seminars in management, planning,
 or
 Business / Economics degree, preferably at Masters level with appropriate exposure to the technical aspects of Electricity and Water industries..
 10 – 12 years engineering & planning in the electricity / water industry with at least 5 years related corporate planning experience.
 Excellent English speaking, reading & report writing skills are essential.
