Job Description:
Studying contract documents prior to starting shop drawings preparation and planning for the design of related shop drawings.
Interpreting contractual agreements for buildings into blueprints covering all design aspects pertaining required designs and projects.
Preparing sketch drawings, architectural drawings and detailed drawings by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD) equipment.
Discussing designs and cost estimates with concerned staff, including engineers, quantity surveyors and estimators.
Participating in preparing specifications and contract documents, specifying building materials, construction equipment and required staff.
Observing, inspecting and monitoring building work, to make sure that it is progressing according to the predetermined specification and contractual agreements.
Negotiating with builders and planning engineers, administering building activities and inspecting the work carried out on sites, Facilitating site work execution and communicating with project staff to clarify drawings details and discuss modifications when required.
Participating in solving discrepancies related to the contract and discussing ways to resolve conflicts in a professional manner and providing assistance on all engineering matters such as design and specifications clarifications and changes, field engineering and scheduling and providing value engineering for tender reports and finding better ways to design shop drawings and reduce costs.

Skills and Experience:
B.Sc. Degree in Architectural Engineering & CADD Certificate (preferred).
Extensive experience in architectural work.
Professional knowledge of architectural engineering practices, in computer aided design and in engineering blueprints preparation and interpretation.
Professional computer skills, Analytical skills, Accuracy, Problem solving skills, Quality oriented and Cost conscious.

The rate for this position is 8,000 to 14,000 Saudi Riyals per month (equivalent to $2670.18 - $3733.24 USD per month).
