Fabricator Welder to work as part of a small focused team in manufacture of large pipe work related components. Fabrication experience is essential for this position and applicants should be able to work to 6G standard in flux core and MIG. Ability to read & understand engineering drawings/specifications, etc. is a requirement for this role. Main Responsibilities

To fabricate and weld complete tools / equipment to standards / procedures set out by customers / clients.
Work too and maintain a high standard of quality to the STATS products and services
Work in a safe manner at all times to protect all colleagues, visitors and clients on site
To carry out the movement of, material / equipment within the shop area (forklift, gantry crane etc)
Ensure all relevant drawings, procedures and instructions are to the latest revisions, prior to work commencing.
Aid in the proposal and introduction of new fabrication / welding techniques to improve productivity or safety.
Assist with the training of apprentices


Status: Staff/Perm
Required Skills/Experience: Fabrication experience is essential
Ability to work to 6G standard in flux core and MIG
TIG, sub arc and profile burning desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Desired Skills/Experience: Ability to work as part of a small focused team working to high standards with client lead times being the delivery driver.
Flexibility and shift working on occasions required
Ability to read & understand engineering drawings / specifications etc.
The use of fabrication and welding equipment and test tools in a safe manner.
Ability to use inspection equipment.
Full understanding of various methods of assembly and testing.
Skill in planning methods of fabrication and welding.
Ability to use Lifting equipment effectively.

Competent level of understanding in :
o Engineering terminologies
o Fabrication and welding equipment

Required Qualifications: Welding apprenticeship, or time served welder
